There are numerous sites like, “eTeamSponsor” that are aimed to ease the fund raising process by creating a simple hub for all team donations. eTeamSponsor claims to be able to raise nearly $400 per student. However, we found a problem with sites like these: They often fail to gain the funds needed due to a lack of awareness for the programs. To raise awareness of our lack of funding, we made different awareness campaigns. We tweeted our findings to our U.S. representative, Lou Correa, and also tweeted about local sports teams who donate to local schools, like the Angels Baseball, and the Anaheim Ducks with the hopes that higher awareness of these programs will lead to higher support to our athletics division. Any other opportunities to raise awareness will also help.
